Exterior Lighting & Electrical Parts for Bus/Minibus Builds: Selection Checklist (B2B)
Lighting and electrical parts define visibility, safety, and downtime. Built for bus and minibus design companies with a spare parts mission—so your spare parts supplier can match the right part the first time.
Quick Checklist
- Vehicle: make–model–year + body variant
- Voltage: 12V or 24V (avoid mixing)
- Application: exterior / interior / electrical accessory
- Fitment: dimensions, hole spacing, left/right, connector type
- Protection: moisture, vibration, cable-entry sealing
- Stock: markers, connectors, fuses/relays, common LED modules
1) Lighting Scope: What Parts Are Included?
- Headlamps: low/high beam, DRL (if applicable)
- Tail/stop/turn/reverse: rear visibility and safety
- Marker / side marker: side visibility at night
- License plate lamp: small part, frequent replacement
- Interior lighting: ceiling/reading lights (project-dependent)
- Electrical parts: wiring, connectors, fuses/relays, switches
2) 12V vs 24V: The #1 Compatibility Risk
- Rule #1: voltage line is mandatory in every RFQ
- Rule #2: if mixed-voltage exists, list it explicitly (rare)
- Rule #3: verify connector pinout and polarity with photos
3) Sealing, Moisture & Vibration
- Cable entry point: the most common leak path
- Lens/body seam: long-term cracking or loosening risk
- Vibration: loose connectors cause intermittent output
- Mounting torque: overtightening can crack housings
4) Fitment: Dimensions, Connectors, Mounting, Left/Right
- Position: front/rear/side/interior
- Left/Right: specify if applicable
- Dimensions: overall size + mounting hole spacing
- Connector: pin count + photos (front/back)
- Cable length: if needed
5) QC: Output, Lens, Wiring
- Output: even distribution, no flicker
- Lens: scratches/cracks, optical distortion
- Connector: loose pins cause intermittent output
- Cable: insulation and sealed entry
- Label: item code + voltage + left/right info
6) Stock Planning
- Marker / side marker
- License plate lamps
- Connectors and sockets
- Fuses and relays
- LED modules / bulbs (by your standard)

Mini FAQ
Why does an LED flicker intermittently?
Most often it’s a connector/ground issue or vibration causing intermittent contact. Verify pin fitment and grounding.
Most critical RFQ inputs?
Voltage (12V/24V) + connector pinout + mounting dimensions.
What should we keep in stock?
Markers, license plate lamps, connectors/sockets, fuses/relays, and your standard LED modules/bulbs.
